Hey everyone,
I’m the owner of @KCSDaily and I wanted to start sharing some of the news and updates of KuCoin Community Chain here on Reddit. For now, everything dealing with KCC is pretty much isolated to Telegram and Twitter. I know some (most?) of you are KCS holders, so I thought you might be interested in what’s actually going on on The Community Chain. Feel free to ask me any questions about the chain or projects. I’ve been on KCC since about a week after launch so I have a pretty good feel for it.
I’ll just start with some of the recent updates off the top of my head. I’ll try to do a good job of recapping the previous week’s events moving forward, but you can treat this as a general post about the state of KCC.
I think the general sentiment of KCC right now is cautiously optimistic. Late June had a little rush but by mid and late July, things started to slow down in terms of new projects and even new coins. Early August was more of the same, but recently KCC has started to shake out the excess and some coins and projects have started to shine. Additionally, we’re all keeping our eyes on the KCC Grant Program that is currently ongoing. (For a quick view of the voting results, check out this tweet.)
I know everyone really wants to talk about the coins that show the most promise. Of course, I would never offer financial advice, but I feel comfortable giving opinions of the projects with devoted teams who stay active in the community. As always, please do your own research. But for anyone new to KCC, this is where I would start :
DEXES
KuSwap (KUS) — KuSwap currently has the highest marketcap on KCC at around $8 million. Their team is very active and they recently had their first IDO, launching KuAcorn and selling out $350k in about 12 minutes. Their roadmap features NFTs, a DAO governance system, and more. You can find their Telegram here.
KuDex (KUD) — Probably the most active and most loyal community on KCC, KuDex recently released their full launchpad and they have some other features such as a bed for “pillows” aka drops. They recently released the first coin on their Launchpad, IKU, which acts as a deflationary token towards their native token, KUD. Their Telegram is here.
Shibance (KWOOF) — Shibance labels itself the “first meme dex on BSC”, and they’ve brought their active community over to KCC. The team has done voice AMA’s multiple times and truthfully seems to have a large development team behind it. The Shibance Army is quite loyal, as well. They are working on prediction markets, NFT staking, and more. Telegram
KuDOS (KEX) — KuDOS (check this one out!) is a unique dex that has two versions — DOS and Windows. They recently completed an AMA with HaiKU Tools where they outlined their ambitious roadmap. I’d say this team is the most technical team on KCC right now, and honestly I’d do a disservice trying to lay out everything they are aiming to accomplish. I’ll just say : games, NFTs, Metaverse, functional OS’s, DAO, etc. HaiKU Tools is usually pretty fast to upload the AMA text, so I’ll make sure to post it when it’s up. Telegram
NFTs
CryptoKunks — Of course, KCC has it’s own fork of the CryptoPunks phenomenon. The team has been pushing updates out and moving right along. Remember that KCC is a new chain so even NFTs are in their infancy. CryptoKunks currently cost 5 KCS to mint and there are definitely some rare ones floating around. Telegram
COVIDKunks — The only other active, working NFT project on KCC, COVIDKunks is similar to CryptoKunks except, you guessed it, with a COVID theme. These currently cost 1 KCS to mint. Telegram
NFTs Realm — NFTs Realm is set to launch soon and will be the first fully functional NFT marketplace on KCC. They have done some voice AMA’s as well and are set to launch this week. The best part is that minting NFT’s are free! If you hang around their Telegram for awhile, you’ll find out that they plan on implementing tons of features, too many to list here. (Note : NFTs Realm is a partner of KCSDaily.)
OTHER
TIKU (TIKU) — TIKU recently had an incredible rise, going from about 60k marketcap to nearly $300k in about a week. TIKU is at its core a reflection coin but it offers many other features already and has an interesting LSD program coming soon (most people assume this month). This coin mixes memes (their cool logo and the LSD acronym) with utility. It’s also one of the longest lasting coins on KCC, with a doxxed team that stays very active. Telegram
KuKafe (KAFE) — KuKafe has autocompounding vaults for most major coins on KCC, and their dev team is best described as Roadrunner from Loony Toons. These guys work around the clock and really deserve all the success they’re getting. Their coin has been doing well. They just “shined the light” on some of their portfolio tools. Telegram
KuAcorn (KUA) — As I said before, KuAcorn was the first IDO launched successfully on KuSwap, selling out 350k in about 12 minutes. They offered a 3 day free trial of their pro tools, and I’m sorry you missed it! I can confirm that the interface was slick and easy to use. KuAcorn really works hand in hand with KuSwap, as these two teams share a good bond. Telegram
KUCINO (KUCINO) — The first gambling coin on KCC, KUCINO is another project with a dev team that doesn’t sleep. If you spend some time around the KCC Telegram world, you’ll definitely see Sam jumping from group to group helping people out. Sam brought over a fanbase from his Fantom project, ftm.guru. Telegram
HaiKU.Tools — Not a coin! HaiKU.Tools is by far the best listing site for KCC projects. If you were wondering where you could find a listing site with a haiku theme, this is the place. HaiKU is another active team that has been making the rounds doing AMAs with various projects. You can find their AMA transcripts on their blog section, and make sure to check out their Proku section for full coin analytics. (Note : HaiKU.Tools is a partner of KCSDaily.)
skuba.io — Not a coin! skuba.io is the first and only KCC news site that I’m aware of. They put out short articles about events on KCC, and have been putting out 1 or 2 a week since they started. Still small but you won’t find in-depth coverage of KCC projects on any other site for the time being.
Hope you all check out some of these KCC projects and feel free to ask me any questions. Tell me which ones I missed. There are definitely some smaller memecoins that I didn’t mention. Unfortunately, I know that I will realize I left something off the moment I hit send! Just wanted to let you all know that we are buidling on KCC! And don’t forget to follow me at Twitter!
